Haxey Quays

We stayed at this site earlier this year - a great place to chill out!

They have a couple of fields for touring caravans and 25 acres of flat rally fields for camping, tourers or whatever you want to take.

Very informal - unless you want to be on the caravan fields you can camp just about anywhere on the other fields and there are no enforced check-in/check-out times.

All fields are well mown with short grass (or they were when we were there in April)

No facilities other than taps though, so you do have to be self sufficient.

The river Idle runs along the side of the site, and if you have a dinghy, canoe or bathtub you can use their slipway for free. Fishing is also free.

Nice walks along the river and a village pub nearby.

The owner is Landy friendly and will probably pop over for a chat and to look at yours while you are there.

Prices (when we were there): Caravan pitch on the caravan fields £10/night, rally fields £7.50/night.
If you want to set up a meet there, the price comes down to £5/night for 10 units+
All prices include any awnings, 2 adults+kids.

Open all year :gold:

Cheers,
Robin.
