Fly sheet panels

Post by DrivingDutchman » Tue Feb 17, 2015 5:31 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone happen to have those fly sheet panels somtimes mounted on to the rear side windows and 2nd row door windows?
I have the holes for them, but was wanting to make some, but it would be helpfull if I had some detailed photo's or drawings. Or even better an example as I like the to look as original as possible.

Cheers,

Not sure if this is original.
The plastic clips are cracking & breaking.
main frame is stainless steel strip spot welded together.

Looks pretty period to me.
Do you have a pic of the rear windows mesh?

Thanks.

Michiel,
Mine only has them fitted to the rear passenger doors.

That may well explain some of the additional holes above my rear tub windows & passenger doors. Just by chance passed some aluminium mesh the other day. Potentially just then need the surround & a few brackets to fix them.
Kindest regards

My dormobile had them fitted to the rear sliding windows only, I'm sure they were an original item fitted by Martin Walter.

Here's a couple of pics of my dormobile as it was when I first purchased it , you can just make out the flyscreens. These are the only pics I have that show them.
I'd forgotten how bad it was .

Jerry,

The Dormibile looks a hell of a lot better these days... Lol

I suppose you don't have them anymore?
I was hoping for a few good clear pics of them so I can more or less replicate them.
