I am a bit confused here, Alex. Which bit do you mean? Silent Gliss are still going and you can get pretty much everything still as far as I know...

I'm guessing it's the same style as the Carawagon curtains? If so then it's probably this one:

You can also get the little sliders on ebay at some extortionate rate I think. Which may be useful if you only need a couple extra.

The tape that is sewn onto the fabric is pretty standard, and you should be able to get it from any fabric shop. Then it's just a case of putting the hooks onto the tape, and then hooking the curtain onto the silent gliss sliders.

I thought you'd tackle the rust issues first Alex

As Patrick said the tape is fairly standard, I found when doing my curtains that the first and last sliders kept falling off the curtain. I solved this by a drop of superglue on the first and last sliders then let the curtain tape string stick to it. I haven't had any problems since :tiphat:

I will post a photo this evening.

The header tape has string loops at the top, which appears different, to my eyes, from ordinary tape

The top string has been pulled taught to hold the sliders in place, it's normal header tape.

Hi Alex

The Curtain tape used on Dormobiles is unique to the Silent Gliss runners and allows the curtain to fit directly to the runners without any hooks.

I bought all the bits I used in Barney from here http://www.volkswagencampercurtains.co. ... 0gliss.htm

Hope this helps

Cheers Mick

Very useful Mick, thanks

How is the spring getting on ?

I had tracked down the exact tape (from Silent Gliss) and am trying to negotiate a discount.

Hi Alex

What are Silent Gliss charging? A very nice lady rang me from Gliss and was very helpful. If I looked back on my old PC, I could probably find her name. Not sure I bought directly from them in the end as I think the VW man was cheaper? The VW man wants £3 a metre for the loop tape.

Cheers Mick
