Carawagon in Western Australia

Post by Gromit » Sun Oct 02, 2016 8:57 am

Looks interesting and complete, if it wasn't the wrong side of the Country and had a few more seats I might be interested....

Believe me I don't :shakehead:

A fellow Australian went to view it and it is in very poor condition, he seems to think $20k needed to restore it. Chassis, doors, bulkhead, everything is rather rusty to put it kindly.

Just sold my Defender and my Series 1 so will now stick to my dormobile and get it back together :gold:

Purchased this on the way home from Adelaide though  (it's hiding in the back of the shed )

1932 Triumph Super Seven Special, powered by an 832cc motor, twin carbs and racing exhaust. It was a bit of an impulse decision to purchase it and it's not as described :banghead: (discovered after we had travelled home with it on a trailer)
Looks like the engine and gearbox are going to be removed and rebuilt in the very near future. It's a very rare car over here as it's the only one of it's type.

A mate of mine bought the W.A Carawagon and is now in Victoria and getting stripped down.
The chassis and firewall was totally rotten.
I have it's roof at the moment to start restoring and with a bit of luck will have the roof ready by Christmas.
It's going to take a lot longer to have the rest of it completed though.
