There's always t'Pit showers Ian - we could all shower together in there

What would be good is hot food at the Snap Tin - bacon butties would do :gold:

You read my mind mate ....

About the Bacon butties NOT the showering together :neener:

I almost managed to get them to agree last year ....

I "Think" we may have a bit more leverage this year after the takings last year just on Teas and Sarnies :tiphat:

Well, LATP has been and gone for another year, and what a great event it was!

Wall to wall leafers on Saturday and Sunday - loads of like-minded folk in one place :gold:

As many of you know, the money we pay for camping/exhibiting at t'Pit all goes to the mining museum to help their running costs, and this year's total came to an unprecedented £1678.80!

Remembering that there's no gate admission charge for the public, that's an astounding figure from just the leafer folk there, I think.

Thanks to Ian and the rest of the organisers - roll on LATP2016 :nana1:

Finally got around to uploading some of the pictures I (For a change) actually got around to taking this year .....

Now first and foremost WHAT an fantastic attendance this year with lots of NEW faces and Landrovers,It's always nice to meet new folks and have a looksy around their series Landrovers,
8 101s in one place .....Watch out they are after your crown ;-)
Many many thanks to new faces AND old faces for supporting us in the efforts we make to raise funds for the NCM to continue their fantastic work that they do helping to educate folks on our fascinating industrial heritage it really is very much appreciated .

In the process of uploading the pictures from this year I happened across the donation total from LATP 2011 ...

A very nice sum of £860.00
To have increased the amount in 2015 to £1678.80 IS frankly both incredible AND a credit to all of you that help us achieve it ....

I'm currently in the process of getting things in place for LATP 2016 .....
Something of a special anniversary for the show AND those that have attended since the early days ....rest assured next years LATP will be bigger AND better if I have anything to do with things .

More to come AND big big thanks to you all again .....

Make sure you keep your eyes open for 2016 ....it's going to be a blast .

Just to let you all know ......

I have just had confirmation for the August Bank holiday weekend 2016 ....

Now it's a rather special one as it'll be the 10th Anniversary OF LATP (Though it won't be 10 years with myself steering things ....although by my lack of hair you might think so lol )

I'd suggest sticking it in your diaries as I reckon it's going to be better even than this years :gold:

Glad you all enjoyed things and hope you are already looking forward to next years :wine:

Just wanted to pass on this email I received from the NCM ....

Dear Ian

I just wanted to drop you a line to say a big thank you from us all at the National Coal Mining Museum for the very impressive donation of £1,678.79 made following the Leafers At T‘Pit event. What a fantastic amount you all raised, beating last year by quite a margin!

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of our supporters so that we can continue to tell the stories of our coal mining communities and industry. The Leafers At t’Pit donation will help us to keep entrance to the Museum free, conserve our collections and share our stories ever more widely. You really are helping us to make a difference.

Gerry, our Safety Engineer, was really impressed with how clean and tidy you had left the site, something that we really do appreciate. Please pass on our thanks to everyone concerned for this and for their donations to the Museum. We look forward to welcoming you all again in 2016, and wish you well for the 10th anniversary event. Hope it’s even bigger and better!

With many thanks and kind regards
Liz

Many MANY thanks to all of the folks that helped to make 2015 the fantastic event it was ...
AND for all the help raising money for T'pit as well as making it such a pleasure to organise ....

I'm already starting the organising for Bank holiday weekend 2016
