What tires where original fitted to a 109 carawagon?

Hi.
I would like to know hat tires where mounted when new delivered on a carawagon 109 1970 build
size and brand /type..

Most likely whatever 109s were coming off the production line with at that time as I doubt Searle would have changed them.

Don't hold me to it, but I think they would have been Avon Ranger crossply.

Being a LWB the size would have been 7.50x16.

Mine was originally fitted with Goodyear Xtra Grips as far as I am aware (the early photos I have of it show it on these) and it had Avon Ranger Mk2s on when I got it. The parts catalogue for the era shows the tyre patterns available as standard LR options.

One of the tyres on my 1969 Carawagon is an Avon Traction Mileage in 750R16 size.
As this vehicle had made it's way to Australia by 1971 (and I doubt these tyres were made available in Australia) I think it's one of it's originals.
