Replacement Fabric for Blinds

Post by Stuey » Mon Aug 01, 2016 9:09 pm

Those of you that have the original blinds as fitted to carawagons will know that the material is now getting on for the best part of 50 years old, thus are quite brittle.

Every time that they get used it seems I need a bit more tape on them and the material could probably do with replacing. Has anybody any experience of replacing the material, if so where did you get it from and how does it compare to the originals?

Cheers

Stu

Hi Stu, I had mine remade using the original rollers and material that appeared to be exactly the same as original. This was a few years ago, but I just went to a local blind manufacturer here in Leicester and they had it in stock. They did not express any surprise at my choice. I think it is just a regular cream coloured black out material. Cheers, Toby
