Re: 1970 Carawagon - Inverness
I know - part of it is the (probable) need to switch a fairly unmolested vehicle to a diesel & also (possibly) rip out most of the interior to get a fridge, cooker & storage plus decent (safer) front seats.

Re: 1970 Carawagon - Inverness
Could do, except you're not allowed to carry that much "spare" petrol. Would be a shame to switch to a TDi too given how original it is.

Re: 1970 Carawagon - Inverness
Possibly tempted, but need to see how the layout is, and convince Karen (and me!). The drawback of most of the carawagons is bed length and the drivers seat - this might work. But also fancy using an ambulance or (ideally) a 2a FC! Interior is alterable, especially if I can stash the original seats ...

Re: 1970 Carawagon - Inverness
Does this mean the front seats stay up when the bed is out?
Re: Sheffield
Will have to see re a camper of some sort. Didn't go for the ambulance, it needed some work but nothing serious but struggling with time. Will see what turns up.
Not going to Ripon, but we'll be going to Peterborough. Should see you on the Saturday.

Rob from Sheffield - also Rob_W on the Series 2 Forum. Currently have an 88", but may add something camper-like to the fleet..... Just need to find something with some leg room (and less cramped than my tent)!
