Re: My Fleet
Well, you see, this puts me on the horns of a dilemma! :-| I have, like most other camper builders, spent long sleepless nights coming up with the interior that suits me and my needs. I am reluctant to post many pictures due to people in the past using/copying, also my pictures appearing on other si...

Re: My 78' carawagon
Oh wow, this Carawagon really ticks all my boxes!! :nana1: Excellent 70s colour, good patina, potentially interesting history, slightly oddball yet original-looking interior, I want to see it in the flesh!! Must get south to attend one of the LRCC-attended rallies....... Alec.

Re: Carawagon Body
I was so tempted myself, but it is actually the other end of the country for me!!
If I hadn't the ambulance I would have done the long haul, just to have a carawagon......
Hope it goes to a good home!

Get that 2.25P used!smirf wrote: I have also bought a defender 300tdi engine to replace the petrol 2.25 but the petrol runs so well
I regularly get 20-23mpg out of a 2.8 Tonne Ambulance! Just think of it as whatever you would pay in a hotel room, stick it in the tank instead!!

Re: 3.54 Stage 1 Salisbury axle
As a mention, the Salisbury back-ends are just a narrower version of the American DANA 60 axle. Swapping ratios is easy peasy! Theres a dearth of information on the net about D60's and I've successfully done two now, without any special casing spreader. Swap with a 110 crownwheel and pinion, the har...

Re: Flag
Excellent idea! Looking good, although may I suggest a little less girth on the body swagings? The series 3 looks a tad wide and like a jeep waggoneer  Get em made: Flags, windscreen stickers and ordinary stickers! Go mad! :nana: I have a contact who makes a range of stickers for a podcast ...

My Fleet
This is the set-up that started it all, I built it in my 110 out of necessity to do a trip but I made sure all the measurements were spot-on to fit into the 109 on the same mounting points  (the 110 was a stopgap while the 109 was being extensively rebuilt) http://i1148.photobucket.com/albu...

Carawagon Rear Awnings
The awnings attached to the rear of Carawagons, how do they work? As far as I can see, there are two bulkhead fittings, one either side of the roof at the rear where it attaches. Does it pull out or does it attach seperatley? I noticed a dimple on the hoop at the top of the rear, is this for a top-b...
