Re: Hello from Wiltshire

Nice to see another youngster with a Carawagon! (I still must be the youngest, however!)

Welcome!

Re: September 2014 Blue Dormobile goes overseas

Looks another great trip, Alex!

I popped by on my way over to the Carding Shed a month or so ago, but didn't catch you. The Dormobile looked as though it had just returned from the continent, beam converters still fitted!

I really must get to le bal de series soon!

Re: carawagon sw series 2 six cylinder

If it's a genuine 6 then I would be very surprised if it was built in '66 as they were not available until May (I think) 1967!

Good to see you have made your way over here

Goodwood (via northern France)

As usual Alex and I went down to the Goodwood Revival this year, but decided to take the week off work beforehand this year and make the most of being so far south. We spent a few days in northern France and Belgium before returning on the Thursday for the Revival. Clocked up another 1500-200 miles ...

Re: CASPA - sixpot info

They're not as temperamental as people make out... the book figures for tappet clearances etc will have your 6 purring, providing the rest of the valve gear is in good condition. I time my engines by ear - I use a book setting to get it running and get it fine tuned on the road. I find this the best...

Re: Very small trip

Hi Andy

Nice to meet you at Leafers! Motor is looking very smart. I am pretty certain yours is indeed the motor I was told about! My mate lives near Penrith and had spotted it on a drive out in his Anglia...

EDIT: Found the pic my mate sent me... gorgeous house and location, I must say

Re: Scotland by Carawagon

Well spotted; the lighthouse is at Ardnamurchan point, and the open ferry was from Kilchoan over to Tobermory. Lovely area of the country, and good to get back there as I probably haven't visited since I was about 7 or 8, possibly younger. Certainly won't be the last trip up the west coast... hopefu...

Re: Scotland by Carawagon

Cheers Mick! You were missed at the pit! The awning bar was fitted by the PO to affix their home made awning. The roof rack I adapted from a full length 109" Brownchurch. It has a removable section for it that allows 8 jerry cans to be housed securely. The rear half has been adapted for use as ...

Scotland by Carawagon

Last week Alex (my girlfriend) and I spent 6/7 days in Scotland in the Carawagon - its first 'long' trip since rebuild. It is still not finished, and we are still getting used to using it properly (and making notes for our own modifications for our use!) but it was a great trip indeed. Weather made ...
