Re: Gas bottles

They are indeed a tight fit on the bottom ring, but no modification was necessary! It had two butane bottles fitted when I got it, one of which it still has (still need to exchange it!). With a bit of foam around the middle, they fit very snugly and tightly with no rattles!

Re: Carawagon on Gumtree Australia

Looks like a home-brew conversion using a much later roof. The later style roof windows, the bar clamps and the roof vents in the lower half of the end panels all shout out mid-late 70s to me.

Still, looks a good usable motor!

Re: confused - which brake MC ?

Just as a point to note - greater braking effort is actually given by a smaller bore in the master cylinder, but the wheel cylinders will move less for the same pedal stroke length. With TLS brakes the wheel cylinder bore is less than the SLS cylinder but of course there are two of them per wheel - ...

Re: Replacing bungee cord on paraphanalia pockets

Pretty sure the original Holt Allen hooks were made to accept 3/16" (roughly 5mm) cord. Think I used 5mm bungee in the pockets on mine, and it's fine even with all the table legs, camping chairs, umbrellas etc etc up there

Re: Replacing bungee cord on paraphanalia pockets

I just used white with the black flecks from my local hardware store. Cheap, and does the job very well! You can't actually see much of the cord anyway, as most of it is in the sleeves of the pockets! Main thing for me was to ensure it was nice and tight and didn't sag. I'd do both sides whilst you ...
