Re: Camper Storage Layout
I'm still making plans in my head to change the way I store things in the Carawagon.. I have reduced the amount of water stored under the sink in favour of shelves under there for all the brew tackle, cutlery, mugs/cups, washing up kit etc and the Propex also lives in the bottom there. I think there...

Re: Brake system setup 109
Never had a problem bleeding with the nipple a the bottom myself, but I know many have! The pedal on the Carawagon isn't as good as I'd like but the problem seems to be in the rear axle

Re: Expedition over-bonnet roof rack
That is almost Certainly a Brownchurch item and is utterly brilliant!! My roof rack is also a Brownchurch and started out as this: https://scontent-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/1513296_10151795556527805_265143741_n.jpg?oh=87a16215147cbcb22d26c4ae013b2c18&oe=55C76AFC It was bought local...

Get rid of those bumpers and fit some standard rims (or Wolfs!) and you've got a REALLY nicely appointed vehicle there. Mainly due to personal taste, the mods, but It's a fantastic base for a great camper. Hope it goes to a good home!

Re: Land Rover Ambulance
Looks a great project! I always fancied doing a Marshall conversion but then the Carawagon came along so unless I make a mobile workshop out of a Marshall I'll probably never own one... I reckon they are a great base - I like the modified rear doors on yours. As nice as the fully opening rear doors ...

Re: Dormobile Roof Fasterns
I would go to Protex for any fasteners like those overcentre catches. I know these were the original suppliers to Carawagon and I would assume Dormobile too

Re: 109 camper for sale
I have seen this motor in the metal and it's a great project for someone! Never seen another like it. It's been done to a high standard, and would make a great solo camper for someone.

Re: Gas bottles
Robin, the hanger you have posted looks just like the ones fitted to mine. They were indeed secured by a wing nut - I managed to get one undone and the other sheared so I had to renew one stud (3/8" BSW, luckily very common stuff at work!!). For peace of mind, however, I have used two nuts lock...
