Re: Help needed please
Yes he lives in Todmorden so only a few miles down the road from us. If I see him about I'll try and flag him down as I am not sure exactly where he lives.

Re: Front seat bed extention setup
Hi Eagle
I'll try and get some pics of my setup for you. I am going to modify it slightly as it causes the passenger to sit a bit too 'upright' but it's very quick and simple to use. There is no wood attached to the back of my seat backs

Re: Front seat bed extention setup
Slightly late reply... I use the squabs from the respective front seats. Remove squab, fold seat forward and place squab on top. Simple! Looks like this is the same (or similar) setup to yours, do bear in mind though that I have the optional 'Ergo-Contoured' seats which may be slightly thicker? :shr...

Re: Roof catches, 40 years on and they are still available
I bought new catches too. I had a spare one in the back of the vehicle when I stripped it, but found that Protex offer them in stainless steel now so I opted for those - they should outlast me!

Re: Searle number plates - Almost sequential pair.
I would guess they were assigned by Searle as they were finished/sold, and these two were produced at the same time. I always understood that to be the case, hence them all having Surrey registrations (where Searle of course were based). Mine was built in June '67 but not registered by Searle until...

Re: Another Carawagon here...
Only the second Stage One Carawagon I have seen... very nice!!
Pageant Blue it isn't... looks like it was white but repainted by somebody? I had a Stage One SW that was originally Pageant (but had been repainted pastel green).
Looks a fantastic project!

Re: NOT a dormobile pop top, so what is it?
Looks like it was taken off something else to me, as it overhangs so much at the rear. Would make a good conversion with a bit of work though! The Searle 'prototype' roof that Mick has is almost certainly not a prototype in my opinion... Searle offered at least two different roof styles in the early...
