Overlander supplement
Think it's the February Land Rover World doing an overland supplement, available on 28th Jan (?). Saw the advert on the back page of the current one in a motorway services yesterday. Woolley Edge sell it!

Re: It's arrived, but insurance is a mess!
Without running water, bed (6 ft) and a separate seating area they won't quote. That's after a fairly long conversation with FJ (again). :banghead: :banghead: These need to be professionally fitted & photo's provided. It's my fault for actually answering the questions on the interior. I can get ...

It's arrived, but insurance is a mess!
(Edited from previous post - admin) Insurance is a mess. As she's a Carawagon I can't use a normal 109" policy. However as she's missing the furniture I can't insure as a Carawagon. To add to the fun, the home built camper policy really doesn't like "modified" vehicles, so engine chan...

Re: Insurance - renewal time
OK, it's clearer now. FJ will cover the Carawagon with modified engine but only when it's complete. They don't cover it during the refit. Unfortunately this also means they won't cover as a 109 with modified engine to move it around before the camper bit is replaced....

Re: Insurance - renewal time
Cheers, will try FJ again tomorrow and see what happens. Hopefully can use them, as will want commuting on the 88" at some point. Part of the issue could be the lack of beds etc but they'll be getting refitted as soon as I figure out the layout & get the mechanicals done. Overlander are fai...

Re: Insurance - renewal time
Don't have Carawagons on the list, and don't cover engine mods. Apparently I'm OK in theory on another policy now as it's an empty shell. I'll try them again next week. What exactly are yours defined as on the policy? They were implying that they were covering 109's and that you may have mislead the...

Re: Insurance - renewal time
Just tried FJ for mine & they don't cover Carawagons! Or altered engines on the classic policy.....

Re: Carawagon?
That's the overall plan. But, brakes, fan etc first then take it from there. Probably also going for a second fuel tank (it' s front fill), but won't really need it for the UK.
This one's got S3 hinges, but as the doors actually fit I might leave them!
