Re: One in Sheffield
The extra tank is to give me a bit more range as it's a 10 gallon front fill. On petrol that's 150-200 miles, and can only carry 2 of 10l cans, giving me another 50ish miles. Obviously diesel improves things a bit, but a second tank makes life easier (in theory).

Re: Dormobile Roof For Sale
Could be interested. How easy is it to source glass(?) panels and the vent bits? Is the canvas OK, or will that need replacing too?
Roof on mine probably wants replacing anyway, so a pop-up might make sense.

I'm on Bannerdale Road near the end of Glenorchy - so only about 400 yds from that garage. Used to live even closer! She's currently on the drive waiting for me to have enough time to do stuff (after the 88" has been checked over). Let me know when you're about and will see what I'm doing, and ...

One in Sheffield
Following all the insurance problems it made sense to start a new thread. So, a 1970 Carawagon but without the pop up roof. Beds and original front seats are present (seats need refitting), but not the extended bits into the foot wells. 20121218_125418.gif More pictures at some point as she's curren...

Re: series 3 carawagon roof rack on ebay
Would a wooden frame with ply cladding & angled metal over the exterior corners work? End shape a bit like Robin's box. Lid would have the angled metal too which might keep the water out. Should be fairly secure and decorators caulking would mean you can paint/varnish the outside. Put something ...

Re: Remains of another..
If it does I might go for it. Roof on mine is a mess & it may provide some useful spares. Not sure my sister will be happy though - it'd be my brother-in-law who'd collect it! Can add it to the bulkhead they have for Dan & I.RMS wrote: Let's see if he re-lists it at a 99p start price
