Re: Carawagon insurance - success story with Footman James!
I am having a mare with FJ, they are refusing to put the Dormobile on my existing policy but will insure it with the same underwriter as a special dispensation for my business on a new policy for £165....This is nonsensical, same underwriter, same risk but the Dormy is 'modified' I spoke to one pers...

WANTED - DORMATIC DRIVERS SEAT
As it says on the tin! I need a drivers dormatic seat to complete 'The Wagon', not bothered if it is S2 or S3 as I am going to recover them all anyway... Anybody?

Re: Hey from Carlisle
I am mate, absolutely chuffed... She is a beauty, real timewarp vehicle... Interesting branding, no Dormobile stuff on the front wings, just the bit of trim you can see, there is a small metal plate just under the station wagon badge saying genuine Marting Walters Conversion, it is quite faded, but ...

Dormy roof up.jpg OK... I collected her today :gold: First view goes to this forum! Good points - Solid, engine ticks over nicely, electrics work (original dynamo!!), canopy in good condition, bunks in excellent condition, brakes work fine, has the cooker and sink, most of the dormatic seats, inter...

Camper heating and electrics
Well, as I am picking up the wagon on Thursday I am thinking ahead to accessorising! What sort of heaters for space and water are folks using in their campers as I would like to include both... Also, I am thinking of installing an electric hook-up, I guess someone will have done this, just wondering...

Re: Hey from Carlisle
Well, Thursday is the day I collect 'the wagon'... 1963 Dormobile, all original except for the missing wardrobe and what appears to be an S3 dormatic drivers seat (all original as in curtains, roof rack, ashtray, manuals...). This wagon has been in the same family since it came off the production li...

Robin,
Am in discussions with them for s2c at the moment. They cover campers and mods, but there are some outstanding queries I am dealing with. Dave is getting the marketing spiel, i will update here this week with full policy details as there may be gaps/conditions.

Re: Hello from Scotland
James, If you haven't already, join the Series 2 Club, aside from getting the magazine (cough, cough) and being close enough to my area to come and meet the folks, the club gets a discount with Richards Chassis which will pay for you subscription and some! We also have discounts with other suppliers...

Robin,
I don't think there will be a problem or misunderstanding! As the majority of folk on the LRCC stand are S2C as well, just borrow some S2C bunting and decorate the stand with both LRCC and S2C, then it will be obvious that the two clubs are associated.
