Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)

Doh.... of course it is :thud: I got confused as I bought two within a couple of weeks, and forgot which was what year :stars: I'll amend the subject title (the power of an admin :neener: ), though it was advertised as a 1966 - perhaps a late '66 which wasn't registered until '67  I'll check ...

:tiphat: Bonjour et bienvenue. Nous avons quelques francophones sur le forum, donc je suis sûr qu'ils vont faire face à la traduction. S'il vous plaît excuser Google traduction pour l'instant. Re: G'day From Down Under............

We've been a few times to Oz; mostly Adelaide, Cairnes/Port Douglas, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart, but obviously, when you've only got 4 weeks, it's sensible to fly domestic. As you say, the distances are vast :stars: I was brought up in Adelaide, (8 years as a child). I still love the place, especi...

6 Land Rovers in my garden!!

I remembered to take a picture today while Patrick was here, so we had 6 Land Rovers in the garden! Not bad, to say only two of them are not on the road (my Carawagon, hopefully on the road in a couple of weeks, and the Disco, donor 200TDi for my Carawagon!). lawn2a.JPG So, from left to right: Patri...

'Carawagon' roof & sides for sale

Hi all, When my 1966 Carawagon arrived, it had a Carawagon version of a Safari roof on. http://www.rms1.co.uk/landy/cara/cara1.jpg This is basically a Safari roof, fully lined, but also has the Carawagon side pockets along the roof line which are used for storage (and to store the hammocks in the Ul...

Rear crossmember repaired!

Hi guys, Another good day today  While Patrick was getting his Carawagon ready for his month long trip to Cornwall, I was busy repairing the rear crossmember on my Carawagon. Here's a picture of what it was like before: http://www.rms1.co.uk/landy/cara/rear_cross_1.jpg Luckily, all the rot w...

Re: Regassing an old fridge?

Yes, thanks, did some research last night and the fridge is now upside down! It seems that the ammonia in the pipes can crystallize over time, and turning it upside down mixes the liquid up again. It gurgled when I tipped it, so at least there appears to be some refrigerant in there. Here's hoping :...

Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)

Had a good day today - managed to get all the bolts out holding the roof on, (anyone who has had to do that on a Carawagon will know about the aluminium trim riveted on after the roof is bolted on :thud: ) and swapped the non-lifting roof for the 'proper' roof I bought on ebay  It's now a pr...
