Re: Ripon Show, 5th May 2013

We are thinking of going to this one, however what does worry me a little bit is that if we are all registering separately then that they may not put us together as they don't recognise us as a group / club. Personally I would be happier if we paid one central person and they paid and then the organ...

Re: Carawagons Everywhere

I've got a proper Searle brochure that is stamped up AA Technical Library 1966 or round about that date, got a price list in it too for all the extras. Will get it scanned someday.....

Carawagons Everywhere

Having a walk around Chesterfield Market earlier, somebody selling some old Magazines, ended up picking up Practical Motorist Annual 67, 68 & 69 and also Motor Caravanner March 1970 which had a nice Bedford Dormobile on the cover (and on that basis I bought it) http://i131.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Dormobile In America........

It's something that I've seen before, something to do with them being 25 year old, I'm sure it's to get around there import license or something like that! It's similar to what we have over here where unscrupulous people register a newer vehicle on older plates to get free road tax and now that the ...

Re: Our Searle Safari

That's the badger Jerry! We bought it as we needed a quick fix for storage for our trip overseas and that came up at the time and well with me travelling up and down from Blandford every weekend it was a no brainer to pick up for a quick fix. When I get chance I will make a wooden cabinet more in ke...

Re: Our Searle Safari

I found on eBay, well over a year ago now a scrapyard with a Carawagon in it, I finally got round to emailing the guy to ask if he had some blinds, he did and he would sell them to me. It was only in Runcorn, so one Saturday we had a whizz over and retrieved some blinds...

Re: Our Searle Safari

A nice mod (Well I think so anyway) that I did was create some under bonnet can holders. I got the inspiration from the SAS Land-Rover that was at LATP a couple of years ago and I thought it would be in keeping with the whole Carawagon thing. The inspiration: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p309/...
