Rain stops play :(

Well, I've had another couple of good days on my Carawagon - I got the rear brakes sorted, new cylinders, shoes, springs, pipes and freed off the adjusters, then bled the system through so it's all fresh fluid in the new cylinders  I've adjusted the brakes up and I'm happy they are fine now ...

Re: Regassing an old fridge?

 No, I took the fridge out then turned the Landie upside down :neener: Actually, I've cycled it twice now, firing it up for 30 minutes after each 24 hour 'upside down' session, it's still not cooling :shakehead: Although it does make a gurgling sound when I tip the fridge upside down, it's onl...

Re: Ex Army Landrover Dormobile.................

Link not working  However, I did a search and found this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Land-Rover-1968-Series-2A-Rare-UK-Army-Dormobile-/120869726753?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item1c2465aa21 Is that the one? Sorry, but I know very little about Dormobiles, but there are 'experts' on here who might kno...

Re: A selection of members (and nonmembers) motors

Look at all those ice-cream trucks :neener:

Weren't there at least a couple of Carawagons there - I notice you missed them off the shot when they were all open, or did they have to camp somewhere else

Cheers,
Robin.

Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)

I had another 1/2 day to work on the 'wagon today and managed to patch both front chassis legs, between the front spring hanger and the bump stop. I've finished the front brakes and the front is all back together. However, I was planning on popping on a couple of MAP hubs I had, but after I got it a...

Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)

I assume you'll be swapping the front end back to the proper setup in time? Yep, the guy I bought it from still had the front panel, grill & wings, so in time it should be back as a 'lights in grill', probably when they all come off for the 200TDi to go in  He also threw in the original...

Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)

Well, today I had a couple of hours spare, so decided to start replacing the brakes on my Carawagon. When I got it, the brakes were sticking on, and when I checked, I found the reservoir dry and the cylinders I checked were jammed solid with corrosion :thud: So I decided it needed all new cylinders,...

Holly's MOT!

It was Holly's MOT today; passed with flying colours :nana1: We rebuilt the front brakes a couple of weeks ago as we were fed up with the intermittent grabbing! 6 pot brakes are awful to set up perfectly, with the self-servo action of the shoes; if they grab, they really do pull. The problem was it ...
