That's great news Mick - so much easier (and cheaper!) than collecting yourself
Was that through Shipley, or another contact.
Is it worth mentioning him in our 'Supplier's' list?
Looking forward to the pictures tonight
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)
Hi Alex, No 6 pot brakes on this one, just standard LWB. I got the kit from Paddocks - generic (some blue boxes!) - I think around £59 +VAT for the whole lot, cyls, shoes, springs, adjusters, though I did already have a roll of brake tubing, ends and a flaring kit - soooo much easier to cut pipes an...

Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)
Right, managed to snap some pics off today: This shows the aluminium trim, riveted on from the outside (along the top of the windows), which prevent you getting to the roof bolts! http://www.rms1.co.uk/landy/cara/trim.jpg http://www.rms1.co.uk/landy/cara/trim2.jpg And the other side after the trim i...
Re: newbies
Welcome :tiphat: A year ago I'd have said you'd be lucky to find a Carawagon for sale, but in the last few months one of our members sold his, I've bought another (yes, a two Carawagon family now :neener: ), and another member has just bought one of the very first prototypes :stars: I suppose they a...

Re: Regassing an old fridge?
Right, thanks for all your suggestions; tried it again yesterday, and it worked :nana: :nana: I've had it upside down 4 times, and the last couple of times waiting another 24 hours after righting it before lighting, but nothing seemed to work until yesterday. I left it lit for a couple of hours whil...

Re: LR Classic Camper Rescue
I told you it would come down the second day Mick - you just have to wait for the small independents to get back from their current jobs and log on  As long as they have insurance to cover your vehicle, I wouldn't worry about it being cheap - it's not that any are going to be towing it on an...

Re: another one
Mick might be contacting you then, re transport
Yes, I know what you mean about finances - I've ended up with at least one too many which I hadn't accounted for, but hopefully one might be going soon
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)
The problem is, when I think of taking pics, my hands aren't in a fit state to handle the camera. Then, later, by the time I've finished and got clean hands, I've forgotten all about taking them :thud: Maybe I need an old, rough, camera that I don't mind getting greasy paw prints all over

Re: another one
Nice one Alex,
These old, neglected, ones are turning up all the time now, aren't they
Yet another project - I think we're all overworked doing these up, but it's worth it to stop them being scrapped
Cheers,
Robin.
