A piece of news thanks to a member on another list - apparently Dormobile UK have just one cooker cabinet left in stock and won't be having any more made .
250 quid (not including the cooker bit it seems) so if you need one, get in touch with Jim at Dormobile.

Re: Dormobile roof window seals
Alex, Sadly, if you have the thinner glass but seals for 3/16" glass then you have 2 choices - new seals or new glass. Because I'm in southern California, I opted for new glass rather than seals as it was quicker. And if you are going to fit the seals yourself, don't forget the special tool - y...

Re: Door seal Rivets and front dormatic seat
Dan,
If you are still looking for rivets, check Ike's site at:

He has bifurcated rivets - not cheap but they look the part.

Re: Dormobile Roof For Sale
The roof windows are toughened glass. Dormobile usually used 3/16" glass but also 1/8" glass. If you are replacing your seals, make sure you have the correct size for the glass in your roof. I ordered seals for 3/16" glass and then found I had 1/8" glass :banghead: So, I now have...

Re: 1971 Carawagon project - £2250!
I was looking at the front end - I missed the hinge (there only seems to be the one) which is a giveaway, but as you say, the interior dash will be the final word. I'm a fan of the metal Series IIA dash myself.

Re: 1971 Carawagon project - £2250!
Congratulations on your new truck Robin! Looks like a good price. Your wife must be very understanding!
The front end might not be original to the truck, but it is correct for the year. My 1970 Series IIA 88" station wagon has an identical front end.
Cheers,
Ian

Thank goodness for Susans! I've been married to 2 of them (but not at the same time), and they've both been very amenable to my Land Rover foibles .

Re: Land Rover Dormobile Curtains.......
Glad the curtains worked out okay. I still need to make up a set for my Dormie. I have a wife and a sewing machine. Wife and sewing machine have a very distant relationship, having not conversed for at least 20 years. It looks like I will have to read the instruction manual .
