Re: My 1967 Carawagon (no name yet!)
Hi Ian, Possibly a delay in registration, between it leaving the factory and the conversion, but I'm not that particular about the year anyway - it's not like I was born in '66 or '67 - I would have been 7 or 8 then :tiphat: Oh, and the engine transplant stalled a little after Patrick arrived back u...

Re: must give her a name
Ah yes, heaters  We've got a nice Eberspacher Diesel blown hot air night heater built into Patrick's Carawagon. 5 minutes before you get ready for bed and the interior is really cosy. An arm out of the sleeping bag in the morning to put it on for another 5 minutes and you're getting up to a ...

Nice one,
It's great to see one used so regularly, even in the winter.
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: X-panda-cab - anyone got one in the UK?
I know Steve (WhiteKnight) has looked into these, but as he's already got a Carawagon, it's probably just out of interest rather than actually pursuing one  I like the idea an Australian couple had (they described their camper at length to us at Peterborough last year). They've hinged the roof...

Oooer, it's been going on for months!
I seem to recall the first part was way back in Sept/Oct, but I stand to be corrected

YOG 31st Mar/1st Apr
Hi guys, John has just reminded me that there's a Yorkshire Overland Gathering on 31st Mar/1st April, up in North Yorks. Rather than spell it all out again, I'm sure John won't mind me copying his S2C post here (below in red) Just had it confirmed by Brendan at 4x4O that this little do is h...

Re: Carawagon insurance - success story with Footman James!
I think this really does depend on who you speak to at the company. Patrick says the person he spoke to had no idea what a 'Carawagon' was, but accepted it was a factory conversion. Perhaps it's a tick-box on their screen - if they tick 'Factory converted camper' you are ok. If they start on the sub...

Welcome, and thanks for introducing yourself
Looking forward to the pics - we like pictures of part done restorations as well as finished vehicles, so don't be shy with the camera
