Re: Dormobile roof strengthening bar?
G'day Robin, I found exactly the same thing as you. Luckily there was enough left of the originals that I was able to duplicate them. Here is a picture of the new ones. I made them from 4130 Chrome Moly tube and plate. I painted them with aviation primer inside and out to ward off corrosion! I've si...

Interesting camper in Western Australia
Gday all, I found this on gumtree:
EOI Old Land Rover,
http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mandurah ... 1150818684?
Looks a bit different. It's based on what looks to be a Series 2. Hopefully someone will take a liking to it.
Cheers
Glen

Engine colour
Gday all. While researching for my restoration I've noticed a couple of Dormobiles with 4 cylinder petrol engines painted dark blue instead of the typical egg shell green, as per the picture. Is this just a cruel coincidence or did it serve a specific purpose? Easy identification on the production l...

Re: Carawagon in NSW?
Very kind offer Jerryd but I'm more than happy with my Dormy
Although there must be someone out there who can give the thing a bit of love! I've been watching it on Gumtree for a couple of weeks and no one has claimed it. Hence the notice on the forum

Re: WANTED: Round Smiths heater
I understand completely R-Rose and generally I subscribe to the same idea. But after standing patiently in my driveway for nearly a year I think it's time my Dormy project got a cash injection. Goodness knows it won't come from the financial manager!!
