Re: Scandinavia 2012

Do you have any detailed pics of your jerry can holders ?? I don't, and they have been removed at the moment. All they are is standard holders with a "width" of angle iron welded to the bottom to lift them above the front apron panel. That bit bolts to the bumper and the sides / back bolt...

Re: where to put batteries?

It all makes wonderful sense, but I haven't got a battery frame thing on the chassis.

I will put it on the list of things that John has to do!!

Thanks

where to put batteries?

I am contemplating having a twin battery set up in the new dormobile so as to have a split charge set up.

Any ideas where to put them ? My seat box has to be altered so as to take any battery, but it does seem a tad tight to get two in there.
What have others done?

Scandinavia 2012

Apologies for the double post (also on Dormobile Forum) Only 3 weeks to go now. Should get the Dormobile back from the garage this evening. Head gasket all done and up and running. I just haven't the time or space what with the other Domobile project taking so much of it. So, assuming all goes well,...

Re: What is this - Martin Walter or Land rover?

I suppose that it could be land rover and going direct to Dormobile for conversion. This would explain why it has got land rover information but nothing on Dormobile.

Cheers

Re: Recent trip to the West coast of Scotland

And a young lady to model it perchance - or is that too much to ask! My opther option was one of those leccy pumps with a shower attachment, but not having a twin battery system, it probably is not such a good idea. Apparently Scandinavia is very expensive for (everything) camping, but free camping ...

What is this - Martin Walter or Land rover?

I found this in one of the cross tub beams after lifting the rear tub off the series 3 chassis. What is it (presumably a build docket) but from whom? It doesn't mention any of the Dormobile spec. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww5/AWBywaters/Blue%20Dormobile/img140.jpg Alex (also on Dormobile fo...
