Re: Question re: dormobile rear seats

Thanks, thought it must screw into something.
Were there two strips (because the seats can be in two different positions) or was it only screwed down in one position ?

Could someone please post a photo.

Many thanks,

Colin

Re: Walter the Dormobile

Work has been slow due to work/family commitments. Offside front & rear brakes now overhauled, need to move it out of the garage, turn around and work on the other side. http://i1245.photobucket.com/albums/gg594/cradley/Dormobile/DSCN3820_zpsgqoqzdh6.jpg Had to cut through one of the rear spring...

Question re: dormobile rear seats

I'm slowly working my way through the long, long list of work that needs to be carried out on my IIa Dormobile. I now have a set of Exmoor seat covers and was looking at the seats last night to make up my mind how to approach painting them and I couldn't work out what the knob in the picture below w...

Re: A going Concern

Drew, I saw this up for sale a while back, it looked good when it was advertised but even better in your pictures. There was a LWB Carawagon advertised for sale in Melbourne a while ago and then it appeared advertised further North in Victoria. Not sure if it was sold. The AULRO forum now have an ar...

Re: Walter the Dormobile

Ian,
Ordered the badge & repair kit from Dormobile UK along with the sink moulding and a few other bits.

Had to sell one of my children to afford this and the Exmoor covers !

Re: Walter the Dormobile

Doesn't time fly..... I've been working on other projects and only recently got back to the Dormobile. Slowly stripping down each axle to replace brake parts, check wheel bearings etc. http://i1245.photobucket.com/albums/gg594/cradley/Dormobile/DSCN3788_zpsais6ogdh.jpg http://i1245.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Searching for a Dormobile in Australia

Emailed Gaydon and received a reply.
They have build records but not registration numbers.......

The search continues.

Re: Searching for a Dormobile in Australia

Best bet would be an appeal on the Dormobile forum to see if anybody is going to Gaydon soon. They have a record of all chassis numbers, build dates and registration numbers there, but I think they only open the archives for on one day a week . Phillip (Dudley on here) spent a fair bit of ti...

Re: Searching for a Dormobile in Australia

Colin/Jerry - there was that one in Tasmania on Gumtree a couple of years age - also green - probably nearly impossible to trace now. Was in pieces but saveable from memory. Gary Thanks Gary, There is a blue one, partly stripped, which I put the chap onto but it would need a lot of work, he's had a...
