Yeah, synchro detents as Brad says.... I cant remember if I just worked the levers until it freed or used something to prise it out. Either way I didnt strip the gearbox just fixed in situ Parts of the spring might be in the box but not come out with the oil as I think there is a lip. Get a magnet a...

You maybe have a broken detent spring jamming the mechanism as this happened to me. It would mess up 3and 4. Try wiggling the stick a lot, failing that you need to get a good look in to find out where it is (I think I pinged mine out manually). Btw you can afford to lose 1, I was down to 1 only for ...

It's like a thin hardboard with a plasti cost type finish . Mine is intact if you need measurements or pictures (but does sag a bit). I will be replacing the front section with a lasselle trim one at some point to rectify the sag, improve sound and fit a stereo and speakers.

And yes Robin, it has taken me two years of harrassing the insurance companies to get them to recognise factory conversions. The irony is that I pay through the nose as mine is (currently) kept on the road. A new house is about to solve that....

Sorry Michiel, I have a four pot so one is under the bonnet and the other under the seat... Mick Jabbawocky has one in the rear behind the second row seats...

It was cold and wet... Having camped in mine in all conditions I have no issue. What I am saying is don't put the guy off on one experience, it's just one experience. These vehicles are fine for two adults and two kids, regardless of weather.
