Hi Robin Craig,
Yes I'll create a subforum when I get home tonight.
Will you be able to populate it with a bit of background and history about the 46, and a thread about yours too?
Thanks,
Patrick

Re: LATP photos
Excellent photos as always Simon! I didn't notice the brown Carawagon (VRK 894s) there on the Sunday - looks nice! Who's is it?

Re: WOW! and now a Higher octave.
Hi Brad,
Is that the same tailgate that got me when we were helping you look for something in your old house? It was a bit of a surprise to say the least!
Luckily I'm a bit shorter than you..

Re: Front seat bed extention setup
Hi, Here are a few photos of the bed supports on my (5 door continental) Carawagon. If the supports were fixed to the seat back - they would hit the knees of the passengers on the forward facing seat behind. They look to have been modified by a previous owner to help them stay in place, and they wor...

Re: Front seat bed extention setup
Hello, Sorry I missed the original post too - hopefully this will help a little? The Continental style Carawagon is slightly different in that it has 2 removable wooden supports to make a flat surface for the bed....but the basic principles should be the same. My bed making process is as follows: * ...

Re: Carawagon Curtins
If you have new ones made, make sure the outer fabric is UV resistant, and the stitching thread is waterproof! My lovely new red curtains 6 years ago are now badly faded from the sunlight, and the red thread used has stained the white lining pink where it's got damp at various times. They do however...

Re: 1972 Carawagon Continental
To say these are rare, they crop up a lot on Ebay! The new cupboard and table is quite neat, but doesn't leave much space for storage. It wouldn't take much to add a unit on the opposite side to change that. With only one front seat folding down, this would best suit a couple with a short partner. T...

Re: Waffling on
Hi Brad, You keep right on waffling! I enjoy reading your posts on here - and though I rarely have time to reply to them, the steady stream of HEC updates is an encouragement to me (and probably many others) to get some Land Rover tinkering done in whatever spare time is available. See you at the ne...

Re: Rear door hooks
That's a bit odd, I've only seen those on Carawagon's with roller blinds, not curtains. Maybe yours had both fitted? A previous owner didn't like the blinds so had curtains put in? Mine's always had curtains far as I know, and has no hooks or even holes where they would have been  You could f...
