Re: 1975 LHD 109 SW

hi Erisapple Re gearing. I ran my 300tdi through a Series gearbox and 3.5 diffs and she was great on motorways and offroad. I now run a Mazda SL35 up front, with LT77 and Series transfer box (1.15:1) and 3.5 diffs. She cruises at 65mph on the motorways and I wouldn't change the gearing. As for the r...

Re: Leafers at Lyons La Foret

Hi Loic I would be great to have it on one of your long weekends, but because we still have a 10 year old, we have to arrange this when William is on school holiday. This weekend is also a public holiday in the UK. Next year I will double check the Holidays in the UK and France before announcing the...

Re: Another 300 TDi conversion

HI Michiel I used the Disco mounts as the 6 pots mounts are completely in the wrong place. The Disco mounts also have strengtheners that brace the engine to the gearbox and these have to be altered as they hit the front prop. As the gearbox is further back in the 6 pot, you will have access problems...

I have listed this on the Leafers Overland page on Facebook and have quite a bit of interest this year. Here is what I wrote on there. French Fix, Booze Run and introduction to Euro-leafing...

Re: Ambulance Available Nr Rugby

This is William's dream truck, He wants an ambulance with lights in the panel. Better not show him this post. I do fancy building one of these into a camper, shame I don't have the spare cash.

Re: series 2a Land Rover Dormobile

Re the 3 tonnes. It is only a guess. I have never had it on a weighbridge, but know they are about 2 tonne empty and we do carry quite a bit when setting off on a long trip.
