Re: CASPA - sixpot info

Oh that's sad isn't it - there were some great tips on valve settings, carb settings and timing - to hear a sixpot running perfectly like that was a joy.
I seem to remember a Swiss guy who was expert at it all and had posted detailed tuning instructions and maybe even a video.

Re: Dormobile badge

Hi Ian - not yet - I'll raise it over there now and see if there's any interest.

CASPA - sixpot info

Anyone know where all the info on this site went? (Carawagon and Sixpot Association).I know someone took over the domain but there was some great info on engines and tuning that I hope is still around somewhere.

Re: Dormobile badge

No Ian - she needed the dimensions to do a quote but I saw a few similar ones on their site in the 7-15UKPound range so I'm guessing that's what it'll be. I agree you need 2 per vehicle and Jim may well take some - they have no supplier at the moment as the previous one went out of business I think....

Re: Dormobile badge

I have been in contact with Karen at Charnwood Publishing UK who manufacture replica vehicle badges as well as a few others. They will replicate the original chrome early Dormobile script badges but only in orders of 100. They also need the dimensions to get a quote together but it looks like about ...

Re: Queensland Dormobile

Sorry Jock - forgot to say the guy I bought it from knew no history of it except that the previous owner was a tradesman of some sort who used it as a work vehicle in Victoria for some years. Other than that he either didn't know or wouldn't say. If anyone in Australia recognises it please let me kn...

Re: Queensland Dormobile

Thanks Jock. I'm going to keep it pretty much as you see it now and fully recondition it mechanically. I have an original 6 pot and gearbox to go back in it - has a Holden 202 and Nissan 5 speed at the moment. It's missing the wardrobe and kitchen unit and they'll be very hard to replace with origin...
