Re: Three way fridge

Stuey - given the size, I'll pass. Thanks. Robin - think you may struggle to get an ammonia refill. I've a feeling it's on the newish EU list of hazardous chemicals. If flushed would a modern equivalent be OK with the seals? Ah but as its an absorption fridge you have little choice but to refill it...

No, the gearbox itself is the same but the bellhousing is a different shape to mate to the 2.6 as opposed to the 2.25's - its shorter and has a different bolt pattern.
The 2.6 Props are different lengths to a 2.25 as well....

Re: Today's issue... Toilets

My solution has always been to find a whin bush and get the spade!!! Overnight, when you really can't be bothered, it is a classic enamel Po with a biodegradable plasic bag and biodegradable toilet paper. Captured, biological wipe-clean, fresh bag in for the next emergency, dangle out of rear door u...

Re: Engine options

Nissan LD28 6-pot - Great engine with proven reliability, 95bhp, real slogger without the harshness of a turbo (A-La RD28), good economy, Philips Engineering did the conversion originally, hard to find some parts in this country, common in USA, SA and NZ. Excellent retro-fit for a 109 6-cyl. 30+ mpg...

Re: Overdrive or high ratio transfer case?

Depending on your uses there are a few options..... My 109 daily driver does a fair bit of heavy towing, I opted to keep the 4.7 diffs but fitted a Toro Overdrive to handle commuting at high revs, these are stronger with large oil capacities and handle sustained motoring better. It's fitted with a N...

Re: Budget 2013 - Tax exempt and SORN :)

Sadly not a rolling exemption. Instead it is decided annually, at the discretion of the chancellor.

So, it will be in place till they complain about loss of earnings and then reinstate it when they want more votes.....

Ooh cynical me eh? :shakehead:

Re: New Project

Hate to say, but to me it looks like someone's been "at it" Rear tub is civillian front fill 2a, mil fills under the seats, front wings are 68-71 2a, front panel is 3 (unless the hooks and holes are there for the cross-type 68-71 2a wire grill), 3 bulkhead, 3 deluxe bonnet (optio...

The water heater is a pretty standard idea and would be ideal for hand washing etc!
Drinking water, and it's potentially a fun-sized legionella-generator!! :aaagh:
