Regassing an old fridge?
Hi all, I've got the original fridge in my 1966 Carawagon project - gas only, not 12V. Just tried it today, but as I half expected, although the flame works, the absorption coils don't get hot/cold like they should :shakehead: I would expect it's lost its gas after so many years - has anyone ever tr...

Re: Interesting camper
I like the phrase "wiring for the moving room done already" :neener: :neener: Actually, we might be visiting Malaysia in November - been invited to a wedding  I wonder what Susan would say if I suggested a one way ticket and drive this camper back  Cheers, Robin.

Re: Hello from me
Hi Steve,
Maybe someone should have been filming us today then - we had it up and down like a yo-yo (with a twisted string ).
They make it look so easy on the youtube vids, but we just couldn't match their finesse
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: My 6 pot Carawagon.. again!
Hi Calum,
Good to see the pictures again
I must admit that I'd like to do a full resto like you are doing, but that will have to wait for another year.
For now, I'm just trying to get my 'new' S2 Carawagon on the road in time for this year's round of shows
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: missing post?
There's no moderation at all yet, Mick (should I have mentioned that ).
Did you see the post after you posted it?
I'll look back in the admin logs - I think we can see everything that's been posted there.
Do you know what sort of time it was?
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Something I found in a hedge.
That's odd Mick - we replaced the clutch in Patrick's Carawagon as it was slipping (turned out to be either lack of free play in the master cylinder or the flexi breaking down ) and there's virtually no wear compared to the new one after 6000 miles!

Re: Something I found in a hedge.
Probably noise! :stars: We damaged the front mainshaft bearing in Morocco as we didn't realise the gearbox was steadily pumping its oil into the transfer box until it was too late. As that bearing is the highest in the box, it was starved, and became very noisy in all but 4th gear. We were lucky and...
