Re: Good location for the leisure battery in the dormobile.
I can't see any reason for it to be an MOT issue - as long as it is secured so it can't fall over and short out in an accident then it's not an issue  Steve has his yellow top securely mounted, but exposed, under the floor of his Carawagon and also has his Eberspacher under the floor. As yo...

Re: Good location for the leisure battery in the dormobile.
My preference is the place in the picture as it is out of the way. Robin is correct, it is a yellowtop optima battery, thay can be fitted at any angle. I allready had checked if there was romm in the batterybox to fit it on its side, but still not enough space  . So next best thing would be on ...

Good location for the leisure battery in the dormobile.
Right, here we go. I have a question about where have you good peeps put your leisure battery? I think I may have found a good spot, but would like your opinions about it and maybe better solutions. I thought it could go here. http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg286/DrivingDutchman/977145b0c1aa5060...

Re: Weekend near Bridlington
Hope youre not going to be put off from one experience that wasn't perfect. I had to convince my missus to not go camping in our caravan and to try the landrover. We haven't used the caravan for about 2 years now. I just bought my dormobile, so we still need to work out what the best setup is for us...

Re: Good replacement for the bunk bed fabric
Mick, I have fitted them yesterday and tried them myself. I'm about 75kg and they hold me just fine. I'm much more confident with the new setup then with the ones that were fitted. The kids have tried them today and they can bounce around on them without fear of ripping the fabric. I even don't have...

Hi,RobW wrote:Excellent - I can see the Vango label, is there a product ID? From memory of a similar unit watch the stitching around the leg holes.
Looked at the label and there is a product code.

Good replacement for the bunk bed fabric
Hi all, I have found a very suitable and cheap replacement fabric for the bunk beds in the Dormobile. Actualy my wife thought about it. The 2 bunk beds in my Dormobile have a rip in it. I looked at Dormobile website and found they are £110 :aaagh: . I happened to have a couple of stretchers lying ar...

Re: LPG landrover question
I think it should be allright. I know that the Eurotunnel is a no no for LPG converted cars, but you can still bring cooking gas cilinders in the car. I've done that a few times now. So I think it would be ok as well on the ferries. But maybe best to check local policies?
