Re: Overland show september

I'm not planning to go, but if anyone else wants me to arrange a stand, let me know.

Cheers,
Robin.

I checked a few days ago, and as far as I could find out it hasn't been cancelled

Re: Carawagon in Buckinghamshire

That was my thought too - I suppose it might need some strengthening lengthways, but I'm not sure I like that look on the inside :embarassed: I wonder how Searle's rare 'translucent' roof was strengthened? Possibly with tubes/bars bonded in/on to the material or aluminium angle on the outside like t...

Re: Carawagon in Buckinghamshire

Interesting - I wonder how the flexible panel was constructed - looks to be corrugated on the inside!

I feel an email to the seller is in order

Re: Caranex/Carawagon

Hi Calum, Yes, I think it's the H4 version. Just measured mine, with empty water containers and no canned food on board, at 1.84m from the gutter above the rear door to the floor. I expect it will be at least 3-5cm lower when packed for expedition - really must sort out some new/better rear springs,...

Re: "Hei" from Norway

Hi Ian,

Yes - as posted early on in this thread, HERE? though it was a few years ago

I must admit, if I were starting a roof from scratch I might copy the Calthorpe roof rather than the Carawagon as it does look elegant

Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Carawagon in Buckinghamshire

Here's the picture Rob was trying to attach. RobW_LRO_advert.JPG I don't think I've seen it before, but the guy has had it since 2000 so unless he's been to any shows etc. we might not have seen it  Re. the problem with attaching the image, it appears that some jpg files are being incorrectly...

Re: Carawagon in Buckinghamshire

Shouldn't be a problem Rob - limit is 1000 x1000 pixels, around 800k, unless the host has changed it without telling me

Can you email the picture to me and I'll have a look to see why it won't attach?

Cheers,
Robin.

Re: What's under the tarp?

Hi Ian, I'm afraid it's under a tarp again! I stripped it to repair the fibreglass cap and to send the cappings etc. off for galvanizing, but it took a while to build up enough to make a dip worthwhile, so, needing the space for another restoration (a 5 door Carawagon), it went ouside again sans roo...
