NEC Classic Car Show - Nov 8-10 2019

Hi guys, The Series 2 Club is asking if anyone has a good example of a S2/A LWB expedition/camper, eg. Carawagon, Dormobile etc. who would be willing to put it on their stand for this show. Unfortunately you cannot sleep in it as the stands are indoors and the place is locked up at night. Let me kno...

Re: Caranex/Carawagon

No problem Matt - the Carawagon which is fitted with the channels/fittings for that awning is still in the restoration phase. I could fit it to another Carawagon, but that means getting and fitting the channels etc. so I probably won't bother ....yet :tiphat: Right - Caranex on Carawagon pull-out aw...

Re: Caranex/Carawagon

Well, prompted by this thread, and the fact that my original Carawagon awning is away being copied, I spotted a Caranex on FB marketplace, and bought it :gold: I'll try it out on one of my awning frames when it arrives and let you know how it fits, hopefully with pics. Just a shame it's not blue :sh...

You could always leave the tin snail over there and put your LR on the stand, Simon

Re: Caranex/Carawagon

Calum, I think the Caranex might fit well onto the telescopic poles. Depending on whether the Caranex is H4 or H4TL, the poles would be extracted to different lengths to ensure a good fit. The centre pole of the telescopic awning frame was originally a fixed length and would have been supplied to s...

Re: Wanted: Carawagon annex tie downs

Hmm I’m assuming they are original It has the pull out frame and the sail rack that goes all around the outside One of mine has the awning rail across the top and down the sides - the rest have the rail across the top and press studs down the sides. It's possible that someone added those afterwards...
