To aid the final fitting of rear xmember today I tidied up the rear tub. It's so far only in primer because I'll be doing some changes to the interior storage boxes. I have painted the underside as well to stop the galvanic corrosion between the steel supports and bare aluminium IMG_20180704_143903....

Another full day at the workshop with my mate. We got there for 7AM, did heaps of welding and fabricating, but at the end we run out of 1mm cutting discs and welding wire so we finished early at 7PM. Hey I'm back in business. Laser guides, out riggers front legs all going in with utmost care and presission. Original chassis have about 0.4" twist to it but I take it it's within Land Rover manufacturing tolerances. We will try to adjust it using winch to get it straightened but I think it's a...

Hi Brad, I think as long as we try our best no matter what situation we are in were doing good. I did lot more painting through the week but mainly I managed to nearly finish electrics on 1958 S2 which is at the moment in the way of my project and I don't want to start grinding and welding with this...

Today I managed to prepare tub. It's by far the most time consuming part. Full day session 8am to 9pm left me with primed scrubbed down tub and most of the dents straightened (im not going to use filler at all, she can wear her scars with pride. Today I made some progress, Bulkhead is now fully welded up with new footwells and pillars. All is seam sealed and in primer. hey ho folks, I had my hand removed from cast yesterday and I'm slowly getting back to the rebuild but it will still take a little while to be able to hold hammer and move things about. 1.003 wheels arriving later today along with 2WD conversion from ashcroft. so hopefully I'll be abale to mate LT77...

im intending to use rolled expanded metal without raised edges, that should be good compromise. the other option is perforated metal. I take it in ali i need at least 1mm in steel 0.8mm should be plenty
