Re: First camping in carolcarawagon!!

not sure if my contribution might help but? Like you, I've got a Defender 200Tdi in my Dormobile. I've used a K and N style air filter on the turbo rather than have those long Defender type air tubes and filter. Thinking maybe when your turbo slows on those downhill sections it cant pull enough air?...

Re: Dormobile register

Three numbers before your Dormobile number? Never been sure if these Dormobile conversions were sold from Martin Walter or from Land Rover dealers. The later may explain how your conversion was sold and registered before mine? All presuming the conversions were not built to order? I had a suffix A r...

Re: Dormobile 1971, serie 3, FOR SALE All original!

Hi Embla, Just wanted to say your family has done a good job preserving this Dormobile. So unusual to find in this original condition. Note its a suffix G chassis number and a series 2A but with a series 3 front grille. Dormobile conversion number 54374-1-626. I've restored a 1971 series 2A suffix H...

Re: What's under the tarp?

Hi Robin,

Yes I can hang onto the dished bonnet.

I found that a dished bonnet made a big difference over the standard deluxe bonnet to forward visibility over a 235/85 x16 tyre on a standard 109 wheel rim.

Cheers

Re: What's under the tarp?

Hi Robin, Great to see another Dormobile being found and rescued. Such a shame the state they get in when left unloved by previous owners. Looks however there is plenty of potential in what you have found. Your'e welcome to stick your head and tape measure in my Dormobile if your'e ever down in Esse...

Re: My enthusiasm rekindled

Funny how things come around sometimes when you're least expecting them. I had previously posted some pictures of DPO 281G a Carawagon I owned back in the 1980's. My sister recently found some more photos that I had forgotten about so I thought I would post them to share with fellow enthusiasts.(the...

Re: Dunsfold Land Rover Show. June 10 and 11

Here's some pictures of the drawer and shelves. I also lined the cooker space under the grill and the drop down shelf with stainless steel.

I got these made up by a local stainless steel fabricator.

Cheers Chris
