Re: Another Carawagon!

Hi Nice to see her being loved. The checkerplate was to save the wings when putting things in the rack and yes the handle on the bonnet was to pull me up. Enjoy

Re: Thought's please on a 2.5 diesel ??.

My '72 S3 Carawagon has a 2.5 N/A diesel . A good plodder. .Remembering back to 2009 when I removed the LDV 2.5 and fitted the 12J the front engine mounts had to be modified . The N/A has a horizontal injector pump which clears the battery tray. Plumbing for diesel is different needing a fuel filter...

I have noticed, with 2 series Land-Rovers and 2 kit cars that there are some incredibly thick people in some insur...

Re: How many?

Just a quickie, KPE 614K my Continental Ultimate is still chugging around . Looking the worse for wear. I replaced the roof hinges and wood last year after the 'brassed' steel hinges unzipped.

Carawagon roof woodwork

I have a problem, the ply side pieces at the front of the roof are rotten. The previous owner had replaced them with cheap ply. Is it possible to replace these without removing the whole lifting bit? Also the cheap brassed steel piano hinges are rusting away, this looks a pig of a job. I am looking ...

Re: Carawagon road springs

400 mls on it has settled at 6" higher . I lengthened the shocks with extensions on the bottom bolts, seems to work Ok. The only problem is getting in. I have some defender steps so they will be modified and fitted.I'm a bit concerned by the angle between the diff and propshaft it looks a bit s...
