Re: Mummy Pig
Just been away for a weekend camping in Sussex glorious sunny weather and 60mph winds, Oh how glad I was not to be in a tent :nana1: First decent run of the year, Total of 165 miles in two days and she never missed a beat, honestly fitting the 200TDI was the best thing I have done so far. Re: My Fleet
HI Alec, You ambulance is looking super, I have a quick question regarding painting the body. Did you take it back to bare metal then paint or did you just try to even out the many layers of nato that were peeling off before painting her? Also was it a DIY job with a brush and roller or did you spra...

Re: Mummy Pig
24mpg from the original engine is amazing considering how heavy these ambulances are. My reason for the change was to allow me to use the motorway system without flogging the engine to bits just to get to 50mph. Re: Mummy Pig
HI Ian,
I have uprated the diffs to 3.54 from a range rover but everything else is standard. I would probably add a 5 speed box one day rather than an overdrive but to be honest I don't really think it needs one, I just have to careful not to go crazy and rev the nuts out of her..
Regards,
Mark

Mummy Pig
HI All, I purchased "Mummy Pig" in 2010 and went to work sorting out the chassis and bulkhead just to get through the MOT which she did with suprising ease considering she had sat for at least 10 years prior to sale apparently! I purchased her from Pa Blanchards. before.jpg I drove her lik...

Hi Robin,
I am based in Kent, always interested in going to the odd show as long as it is not to far away, the old girl may be capable of crusing at 65mph now but I am not sure weather my teeth will take more than about 100 miles
Pictures to follow....

Hello All
HI, I thought I should make my introductions. I have owned a series 2a Marshall ambulance affectionally known as "Mummy Pig" for three years now, she has undergone several modifications most notably a 200tdi engine change to make shifting her enormous weight around a little more pleasant!!...
